The Suffolk County Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a bicyclist who was struck by a car in Holtsville.

The incident occurred on North Ocean Avenue, near Cedar Avenue, Saturday afternoon.

Police say the victim suffered serious head injuries.

The driver of the vehicle involved is not facing charges.
