Nassau County is extending pool hours at two locations to help residents beat the heat.

The Wantagh Park Pool will stay open until 7 p.m. through Friday.

The same goes for the Cantiague Park Pool in Hicksville.

The county says it is also opening three cooling centers through Friday. The centers include the Cantiague Park Administration Office in Hicksville, the community room at the Mitchel Field Administration Building in Uniondale and the Wantagh Administration Building in Wantagh.
