Firefighters in Bay Shore had to evacuate the Lakehouse Restaurant Thursday night after it became surrounded by water.

Fire officials say the call came in at 8:47 p.m.

Suffolk police say 50 people, including customers and staff, were removed from the restaurant.

A News 12 viewer captured a photo of the scene.

Fire officials say everyone was evacuated safely.
