Police say an ambulance flipped after colliding with a Jeep Thursday in East Rockaway.

The vehicle overturned on the corner of Atlantic and Ocean avenues.

They say the ambulance driver was taken to the hospital, but was not seriously injured.

Officials say the ambulance did have its emergency lights on at the time of the crash, but it is unknown if it was responding to another emergency.
