One person was injured in a wild garbage truck crash in East Garden City.

Police say the Village of Hempstead garbage truck crashed into a minivan while making a turn. The truck lost control and slammed into a building at the intersection of Oak Street and Commercial Avenue.

The driver of the minivan was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. No charges have been filed.
