5 Northwell nurses deployed to Texas to help fight against coronavirus
Heroic nurses from Long Island are now helping in other places where coronavirus cases are spiking.
Five Northwell nurses volunteered to be deployed to Houston, Texas after Gov. Andrew Cuomo's call to help out in the nation's hot spots.
Officials set up two testing sites, in largely minority neighborhoods, where they are processing up to 1,000 tests a day.
The nurses say they didn't think twice about it and thought it was a good way to pay it forward.
The nurses say they are also providing education to residents on the importance of wearing masks and social distancing.
