The historic Remington Arms Shot Tower in Bridgeport is set to become a new business hub, backed by millions of dollars in state funding for redevelopment and preservation, Mayor Joe Ganim told News 12 Sunday in an exclusive interview.
Ganim announced that a private developer will transform the site into "a shining new commercial property to create jobs and expand the local tax base," with official development plans expected within weeks.
"The fact that we now have a developer committed to carrying out this long-term goal, a goal that I personally set for the city, is a source of great pride for me and my administration," Ganim said.
