NYC Ferry hikes fare; fall schedule in full effect

Regular ticket prices will rise from $4 to $4.50.
Bundles of 10 tickets will increase from $27.50 to $29, averaging out to match the cost of a one-way subway or bus fare.
A one-way discount ticket will now cost 10 cents more, raising the price from $1.35 to $1.45. This discount program is available to seniors, low-income riders, people with disabilities and high schoolers.
High school students can access reduced fares to get to school through the Student Discount Program - New York City Ferry Service account portal.
The city says these changes support Mayor Eric Adams' "Ferry Forward Plan" to create a more equitable, accessible, and fiscally sustainable ferry system.
The changes include more than just fare hikes.
The NYC Ferry fall schedule is in full effect as of Sept. 9.
Service to Governors Island will resume service on weekdays and weekends.
