The Yankees will play a critical Game 3 in the American League Championship Series Monday night against the Houston Astros in their quest for a 28th World Series title.
"(The) beautiful thing about baseball (is) we've got another one," says outfielder Aaron Judge. "We've just got to continue to keep playing our game."
In their last seven postseason games, Judge and catcher Gary Sanchez have combined to strike out 34 times.
"There's been a lot of great hitters that struggled the first year in the postseason, the second year in the postseason and the third year in the postseason," says manager Joe Girardi. "I feel good about them, we've counted on them all year."
At least one player in the Yankees lineup has struck out in 22 straight innings, but Girardi isn't panicking.
"It's just part of who we are as a club. We're going to strike out some, but I like the patience, I like the grittiness of the hitters, I like how they grind out at-bats. We'll figure it out."
The game starts at 8 p.m. at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.
