Yankees postseason run boosts BX business
Some Bronx business owners say the Yankees' postseason run has boosted business.
Qahtan Salahi's store was closed this time last year, but the manager says fans attending postseason games have been shopping enough to boost sales 20 percent. In addition to increased revenue at souvenir shops, local diners and delis are seeing soaring sales.
Many businesses hope the Yankees make it to the World Series to bring more foot traffic to the Bronx and keep sales increasing into November.
