Hundreds of people waited around Yankee Stadium Thursday in hopes of receiving a free Thanksgiving meal.

Some people gathered outside the stadium starting at 3 a.m. for their chance to take home a $25 food voucher.

It is a part of an annual tradition where the Yankees and Krasdale Foods team up to hold an annual Thanksgiving food voucher giveaway.

Thousands of people line up each year to participate in this event. The vouchers are given out on a first come, first serve basis, and there are only 3,000 vouchers.

Organizers say they hope it helps people prepare their Thanksgiving meals. The vouchers can only be redeemed at participating local Bronx C-Town and Bravo supermarkets.
