News 12 The Bronx asked residents what they thought about the popularity of soccer in the United States.
One Bronx resident said that they believe soccer is unpopular in the United States because there are other sports that people are more interested in, such as baseball and football.
In 2015, New York City FC, a new professional franchise will begin playing in the 2015 MLS Season, and their home will be in the Bronx at Yankee Stadium.
