A mother and two children were airlifted to the hospital after a head-on collision in Smithtown.
Authorities say a woman driving an SUV swerved into oncoming traffic on Route 111 near East Main Street in Smithtown and hit a white tractor-trailer head-on.
Everyone in the SUV was taken to Stony Brook University Medical Center. There's still no word on any of the victims' conditions.
Police are investigating the accident.
