White Plains businesses finally bounce back after fire
A year after a fire ripped through stores on White Plains Road, plans to rebuild are finally in place.
The property owner says plans include 11,000 square feet of retail space. Local business owners are hopeful that the area will attract big chain stores to boost revenue in the neighborhood.
?For most people, it was a very sad thing to see this all come down,? said Sam Perez. ?We?re just waiting optimistically for it to come back up.?
Construction is scheduled to start Feb. 5.
