What's Cooking: BLT slaw
Chef Giovanni Farruggio, of Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace, shows News 12's Lily Stolzberg how to make BLT slaw.
One half head of savoy cabbage, sliced thin
10 strips of cooked bacon, crispy and chopped
2 cups mayo
4 plum tomatoes cored and diced
¼ cup white vinegar
¼ cup sugar
1 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp black pepper
Whisk vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Once sugar is fully dissolved whisk in mayo.
Add sliced cabbage, diced tomato and chopped bacon.
Toss all ingredients together.
