What's Cooking: Black truffle mac and cheese
1 lb. Medium Shell Pasta
1 lb. Cheese (Land-O-Lakes Italian Asiago Blend sliced)
1 qt. Heavy Cream
1 Heaping tbs. black truffle Cream (La Madia Regale) (Uncle Giuseppe’s Cheese Dept.)
Add water to medium sized sauce pot, bring to a boil. Salt the water heavy. Should taste like the ocean.
Add pasta to boiling water. Cook pasta 2 minutes under recommended cooking time.
In a separate pot, add heavy cream. Bring cream up slowly, starting at medium heat, slowly raising heat until a slight simmer starts.
Once pasta is cooked, strain and add to the simmering cream.
Slowly whisk and add cheese slices to pasta. Once all cheese is incorporated set all pasta to simmer for 5 more minutes or until mixture begins to thicken.
Add Black truffle cream, mix well.
