Wicked weather topples trees, floods roadways

SELDEN - The wicked weather toppled trees, flooded roadways and disabled cars last night.

The trees blocked at least one lane of traffic on Marshall Drive in Selden.In Smithtown, people were trying to push their cars out of the water on Meadow Road.Meanwhile, downed electric lines melted holes in the street at the intersection of Jerusalem Avenue and Little Rail Neck Road in North Bellmore.As of this morning, power outages were down to a few thousand from about 20,000 at the height of the storm.
