RIVERHEAD - Riverhead Town Supervisor Sean Walter says Sandy's effects on the town are devastating.Coastal areas like South Jamesport saw severe flooding, while North Shore areas saw coastal erosion from the violent waves that the storm brought.Walter says the town is waiving all building permit fees and expediting the permit process so that residents can quickly rebuild.The supervisor says several stores in the Tanger Outlet Center were burglarized during the storm, but the town has not seen widespread looting.
