A worker at a Wantagh massage parlor is facing prostitution charges after offering to perform a sexual act on an undercover detective, police say.
Hui Meng, of Flushing, was arrested Monday after authorities acted on complaints from members of a nearby church and school. She worked at Foot Spa located at 1943 Wantagh Ave.
Detective Lt. Richard LeBrun says the unusual heavy traffic at the spa is what raised the community's suspicion.
The Foot Spa has been shut down by the Town of Hempstead "for illegal use," according to a sign on the door.
A spokesperson for the Town of Hempstead told News 12 that the spa was issued summonses for numerous safety violations, for the alleged prostitution and for practicing a business without a license.
