A vigil was held in Bellport Wednesday night for two men killed in a dirt bike crash that some say was intentional.

As News 12 has reported, police say Christopher Bouchard and his brother went after Anthony Holmes-Garriques, 19, and his friend Keenen King, 20, while trying to recover a stolen dirt bike. Authorities say Bouchard drove his minivan into Holmes-Garriques and King, killing both.

Friends placed candles and balloons near the spot where the two men died.

Wearing T-shirts with pictures of the victims, the families of the two men held candles inside the Central Islip courthouse as they waited for Bouchard to appear in court.

The Mastic Beach man has been charged with reckless endangerment in connection with the crash. Bouchard, however, was a no-show since his court conference was postponed until next month.

The victims' families and friends are calling for the reckless endangerment charge to be upgraded.

A makeshift memorial for Holmes-Garriques and King in Bellport has been growing by the day since last week's crash. Friends say they will continue to go there to pay their respects until justice is served.
