MONTAUK - The Town of East Hampton is issuing a warning to Montauk tourists ahead of the busy summer season.

Town officials say they are cracking down on loud, rowdy visitors.

Police will be rolling out new measures, including more patrols and code enforcement.

It's an effort to monitor behavior and bar crowds. As News 12 has reported, Montauk residents are outraged by the town's new party scene reputation. Many say it ruins the character of Montauk.
