The city's transit union has been ordered to pay up for its December strike that left thousands of Bronx straphangers stranded.
The judge imposed at $2.5 million fine against the Transit Workers Union Local 100. The state Supreme Court judge ruled the union was in contempt of court during the three-day transit strike.
In a statement, Union boss Roger Toussaint says the Taylor Law, which prohibits striking by public employees, needs to be reformed.
