Town of Brookhaven sets up frying oil recycling program

More and more Long Islanders are deep-frying their Thanksgiving turkeys and officials have announced a way to put it to use.   The Town of Brookhaven is setting up a used, frying oil recycling program.

More and more Long Islanders are deep-frying their Thanksgiving turkeys and officials have announced a way to put it to use. 
 The Town of Brookhaven is setting up a used, frying oil recycling program.
Starting Friday, residents can bring in their turkey oil to a specific drop off location.
The oil will then be used to power bio-fuel vehicles which have been converted to run on vegetable oil.
