The big man himself is making appearances on Long Island this holiday season.

Santa Claus is meeting kids each day at Hicks Nursery in Westbury. Many families stopped by Monday to get their holiday snapshots with him. While waiting in line, kids can explore Hicks' "Story Book Land."

Parents are urged to bring along a non-perishable food item that will be given to Long Island Cares to feed those in need.

According to Hicks' website, Santa will stop by the nursery now through Dec. 23. His hours are Monday-Friday: 1 p.m.-4 p.m. and 5 p.m.-8 p.m. On weekends, he will be there 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and 2 p.m.-6 p.m.
