Residents on Darerka Street and Great Neck Road woke up this morning to find the damage.

AMITYVILLE - Nearly a half-dozen people in Amityville woke up to discover their tires had been slashed.

The tires were slashed sometime between 9:30 p.m. Thursday and 6 a.m. this morning on Darerka Street and Great Neck Road.

One victim says his car door was also scratched.

Suffolk County Police Sgt. Robert Anderson says it doesn't appear the cars were targeted.
