Throgs Neck church acts against poor drivers
A recent minivan crash is causing a Throgs Neck church to help try to curb speeders in its community.
Church officials say the 30 mph speed limit isn?t stopping drivers from racing along the service road on Bruckner Boulevard. This weekend a minivan crashed into a church's fence; church leaders say it was the fourth known accident on the service road.
Parishioners plan to start a petition to stop people from speeding on the roadway. Church members say it's just a matter of time until another accident happens on the busy stretch.
The driver of the minivan has been charged with DUI.
