Excitement is in the air as the big top heads to the Big Apple.
The UniverSoul Circus is once again coming to Brooklyn, bringing all the high-flying highlights to Floyd Bennett Field.
“With this show what we are doing is something totally different. we are celebrating everybody. everybody belongs under the big top,” says Ringmaster Lucky Malatsi.

Crews will be setting up their tent at Floyd Bennett Field for four weeks.

Wednesday was their first show, featuring performers with two legs, four legs and even eight legs.
Acrobatics on roller skates and dancing stilt walkers excited audience members, who told News 12 going to the circus is an annual tradition.

“We come here every year and we wouldn’t miss it for the world and they get better and better every year,” says Adriane Williams, of Bushwick.

Ringmaster Lucky Malatsi says this season’s show aims to highlight different cultures, but also to have audience members be the star of the show.
“We are known for being the most interactive circus in the world, which means when you come out here you are not just going to be a spectator. You are the main star in our show,” says Malatsi.

UniverSoul Circus is in Brooklyn until May 12.
