Many Long Island residents were onhand for opening day at the Syosset-Woodbury skating rink.
With temperatures dipping into the mid-30s, many skaters told News 12 that it was perfect outdoor skating weather.
The rink is located at 7800 Jericho Turnpike in Syosset.
It will be open until March 2.
