Suffolk police: 12 drivers arrested at sobriety checkpoint in Patchogue

Police say nearly 600 cars passed through the checkpoint between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m.

At least 12 people have been arrested for driving under the influence in Suffolk this weekend.
According to Suffolk police, a dozen drivers were stopped and arrested at a DWI checkpoint in Patchogue on Friday.
Police say nearly 600 cars passed through the checkpoint between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m.
Suffolk police will continue increased DWI patrols throughout Memorial Day.
Nassau and state police will also have increased patrols throughout the weekend.
