An alleged burglar was arrested Friday in Lake Ronkonkoma following four break-ins in one day.
Suffolk police arrested Michael Rollero, 27, who lives within walking distance of the homes that were burglarized.
Officers responded to a report of a burglary on Clarendon Road around 9:30 a.m.
Detectives say two hours later, their investigation led them to a Mobil gas station on Portion Road, where they arrested Rollero.
Police then pieced together just how many homes he allegedly burglarized earlier that day. They say he took items from two homes on Clarendon Road and two homes on Dorchester Road.
Police say he also attempted to burglarize another home on Locust Street.
News 12 went to Rollero’s home on Webster Avenue, but a man who answered the door said he didn’t live there.
Rollero was in court Saturday where he faces several burglary and attempted burglary charges.
