A study has found that more and more minors are using e-cigarettes to get high.
According to the American Academy of Pediatrics study, 20 percent of high school students have used the devices to vaporize forms of cannabis, such as hash oil and wax infused with THC.
Addiction expert Steven Chassman, of LICADD, says vaporizing cannabis leads to a dangerously potent high.
"It's highly concentrated THC, the chemical in marijuana that makes you high, and it's up to 30, 40 percent higher than what Mother Nature intended," Chassman told News 12.
Drug addiction experts say parents should know that e-cig vapors do not smell like pot smoke. In fact, they are virtually impossible to detect.
The study can be found on the American Academy of Pediatrics website.
