A 92-year-old woman was killed by a stray bullet while sitting in her living room on East 224th Street Tuesday night.
According to police, Sadie Mitchell was watching television when a single bullet pierced her window, hitting the woman in the back.
Friends and neighbors were shocked by Mitchell's death, describing her as the mother of the neighborhood who loved life and helped others.
