A vote is expected tonight on a controversial construction project in Long Beach.
The Nassau IDA will decide on tax breaks tonight for the so-called "Super Block" project in Long Beach. Last week's vote was postponed.
The developer from Garden City wants to build 200 condos and 238 apartments in three buildings on the property facing the boardwalk between Riverside and Long Beach boulevards.
The project would also include a restaurant along the boardwalk.
Some residents are opposed to the project because they are worried about congestion and the construction.
Others say it will bring new tax revenue to the city.
