News 12 meteorologists say to expect hot and humid conditions with a chance of pop up showers and storms after 2 p.m.

Any storms that develop will be fast moving with potential for gusty winds and hail.

Highs will be between 88 to 92 degrees in Nassau and 82 to 88 degrees in Suffolk. It is expected to turn breezy with westerly winds 10 to 15 mph.

For tonight, expect an evening shower then partly cloudy skies with lows 65 to 70 degrees.

On Wednesday it will be mostly sunny and breezy, cooler and less humid with highs near 80 degrees and lows near 66 degrees.
