It’s a 930-acre oasis in the heart of Nassau, full of fun for all ages. It’s even larger than Central Park! News 12's Elisa DiStefano explored Eisenhower Park on this Road Trip: Close to Home!
There are miles of trails to hike and bike, and you can loop around the lake.
There's even a two-mile fitness trail that has exercise stations along the way. There are dozens of athletic fields and 16 lighted tennis courts.
You can play bocce ball. And if golf is your game, they have 18 hole courses, mini golf and a driving range!
Your little ones will love their playgrounds! And cooling off at their sprinkler park.
If you work up an appetite after all of that activity, you can stop to grab a bite at a food truck.
Or you can slow down and stop to visit beautiful memorials including Veterans Memorial and Wall of Honor, The 9/11 Memorial.
Next to the memorials there's a kite field where you can fly a kite.
Or learn to fly trapeze at iFLY! Their open sessions are great for beginners.
