Mineola man charged in fatal beating of 4 kittens

A Mineola man accused of beating four kittens to death has been indicted on animal cruelty charges.
The Nassau DA says Justin Visconti beat then killed the four kittens before throwing their remains down a trash chute in his Mineola apartment building.
The 38-year-old was arrested last November. He was indicted yesterday on four counts of aggravated cruelty and torturing animals.
Visconti faces up to two years behind bars.
Investigators say Visconti was also arrested last week when he was found to be in possession of another cat - in violation of a court order.
Visconti is now facing criminal contempt in that case.
