Nassau police say they're searching for a man who tried to rob a woman and then touched her inappropriately in Cedarhurst Thursday.
They say the 32-year-old victim was walking on Broadway near Adelberg Lane around 5:30 p.m. when she was grabbed from behind by the suspect.
He allegedly grabbed the woman by the neck, threw her to the ground and demanded cash.
Police say the suspect began touching the victim inappropriately when she said she didn't have any money on her.
A passing driver saw the struggle and began honking, and the suspect then took off.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
