Number of coronavirus cases continues to drop across Long Island

Out of nearly 5,500 tests – just 46 came back positive Tuesday in Nassau County.

Across the island, the coronavirus numbers continue to drop to their lowest rates – with 77 patients hospitalized as of this morning.
 Out of nearly 5,500 tests – just 46 came back positive Tuesday in Nassau County. That brings the infection rate down to .8%. The county also saw no new deaths.
In Suffolk County, 85 people tested positive for the virus in the same 24-hour period. That's an infection rate of 1.5%.
Like Nassau, Suffolk had no new coronavirus related deaths.
