Police say three Brentwood men are back on dry land after being rescued by police in the Long Island Sound.
Police say the men were found about a mile and a half northwest of Sunken Meadow State Park around 6 p.m. Sunday.
Police say they had been rowing against the wind and currents for hours and kept getting pushed farther away from the shore.
Even worse, the men had no cellphones on board and had no way to call for help.
Luckily, the men were spotted by Marine Bureau officers during routine patrols and taken back to shore.
