A person was fatally shot in North Amityville Friday night, police say.

Police were called to the home on Somerset Road North around 6:30 p.m.

When they arrived, they say they found Elbert Wright, 28 of Massapequa, was already dead.

Officers believe some sort of altercation took place before the shooting.
No arrests have been made so far.
