Huntington makes more room for outdoor dining

The Town of Huntington is closing some roadways to make more room for outdoor dining.
The town greenlit a plan to place seating along Wall Street and New Street.
Jack Palladino, who owns Christopher’s on Wall Street, says the new area for outdoor dining could help make up for losses incurred due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"We are trying to make up for four months of lost business," he told News 12.
Although the roads will be closed, the seating area will not be able to go past a certain point and the restaurants must keep an area open in case of emergencies.
Huntington plans on closing both roads through Labor Day.
