Police: Black Lives Matter protester lied about being hit by car

A man who claims he was hit by a car during a Black Lives Matter protest is facing charges for allegedly lying about the incident.
Police say Keith Harrison was at the protest on Monday when a Coram man hit a pedestrian in Huntington Station.
Harrison, of Hempstead, told police he was also hit, but investigators say photos show he was not hit.
Meanwhile, the driver of the SUV, Anthony Cambareri, is charged with assault and is accused of hitting another protester.
Protesters say the driver approached the crowd of 25 people and accelerated. Witnesses say they saw the protester who was actually hit fly on top of the car and roll off. The accused driver drove off before being apprehended a short time later.
Harrison, 56, has been charged with filing a false police report, a misdemeanor. He will be arraigned later this month.
