See a dinosaur and so much more - News 12's Elisa DiStefano explored Tanglewood Preserve in Rockville Centre, in this week's Road Trip: Close to Home.
Enjoy the natural beauty of the 11-acre park and preserve.
Walk along the nature trail. There’s a brick walkway that's easy to walk on that will take you around the ponds.
Bring your pole because fishing is allowed.
There are plenty of shady spots, so pick a place to picnic or sit back, relax and watch the wildlife.
But if it's a dinosaur you want to see, make a reservation and make your way over to The Center For Science Teaching and Learning. They are open seven days a week, and with a reservation they are letting one family inside at a time.

See over 20 dinosaurs. There are animatronics and full sized fossil casts. There's so much to learn about dinosaurs, and their staff is on hand in case you have any questions. Once you are done, go outside and you can go on a dinosaur dig.
Then go on an animal adventure. There are 35 animals to meet and interact with. And all of the animals are rescues.
