More than $20,000 raised, more than 4,000 meals delivered - and it's all thanks to twenty-nine 11-year-old girls and their cheer coaches.

Sachem coaches Lindsey Kolb and Melanie Halloran, of Sachem Sports Club, are this month's 12 Making a Difference.

At the end of March, a couple of the girls from the team went to the coaches to have a bake sale to raise money to send lunches to some nurses.

They have sent meals to front-line workers at hospitals, FDNY, Suffolk County Police Department and local fire departments.
