A 7-year-old year-old girl from Laurel Hollow is giving her piggy bank money to Northwell Hospital.
Desiree Mohammodi sent her savings of $52.65 to the head of Northwell Health.
Mohammodi wrote a note, telling hospital staff to take a break, remember to wash their hands and then ends with a thoughtful prayer.
Desiree had been saving her money for three years to buy an American Girl Doll in an astronaut suit.
As a thank you, Northwell gave her that doll and a telescope.
