There could soon be a way to detect COVID-19 with your smartphone.
Researchers at the University of Utah started the project last year as a device to help detect Zika virus.
The plan is now to take the Zika virus sensor and program it to identify COVID-19 instead.
If someone were to breathe, cough or sneeze on the sensor, it would be able to tell if someone had COVID-19.
A prototype is expected to be done in about two months.
