A tribute in light to graduating high school seniors.

Tonight, the stadium lights at many Long Island high schools will be shining bright.

It will begin at 8:20 p.m., or 2020 in military time, and end at 8:40 p.m.

During the 20-minute tribute, members of the school communities are encouraged to turn their porch lights on and take a picture.

All are encouraged to share pictures using the hashtag #BeTheLight.

Aside from driving by, schools remind everyone that campuses are closed and this is not an event where people can gather.
