A mother in Orange organized the “203 Rainbow Hunt” Facebook group, which is focused on creating comradery and smiles during this time of social distancing.
The group asks members to “post your rainbow creations, drawings, things in nature” and use #203RainbowHunt.
Casey Castillo, a registered nurse says the inspiration came from friends who were posting colorful pictures near her hometown in upstate New York.
"Who doesn't love rainbows? Everybody loves a rainbow," she told News 12. "People are getting their families involved, their neighbors involved."
In just one week, the group has grown to almost 3,000 members.
The group says a map feature on their page shows members where different displays are located throughout communities.
