Curran: The hot spot for COVID-19 is moving to Long Island

Nassau County Executive Laura Curran confirmed there are now 10,587 positive COVID-19 cases – 1,033 new cases since Wednesday.
Curran reported 19 new deaths in the county, bringing the total of residents that have died to 95. A total of 15 men and four women ranging in ages between 41 and 95 recently passed away.
According to officials, there are now 1,471 COVID-19-related hospitalizations in the county. As of last night, 314 patients are on ventilators.
In positive news, Curran says 130 patients that were COVID-19 positive have been discharged from the hospital.
