Police break up another large gathering in Lakewood that included up to 50 people

A couple in Lakewood has been charged after police say they broke up another large gathering of people over the weekend that included up to 50 people with children.

Police were called to the home Sunday of Eliezer Silber, 37, and Miriam Silber, 34, on Alamitos Drive for a report of a gathering of people.

When police arrived, they found around 40 to 50 people, including children, on the front lawn and in the street in front of the home.
Eliezer was also charged with violating an order signed by Gov. Phil Murphy that bans gatherings of individuals for social events.
The couple was charged with endangering the welfare of their children, which were at the gathering.
Both are required to appear at a future court date in Ocean County Superior Court.
